From childhood, I loved art. I loved to paint, draw, and create anything that was beautiful. When my children were born, I found myself absorbed in a new life as a mother with little time to paint. I dreamed of heartwarming images that captured the joy of motherhood, but the medium could not be paint as my children were growing and changing so quickly. I turned to photography to aid in capturing the fleeing moments. I read everything I could get my hands on about photography and the camera. I studied light intensely and began to feel like Monet as I photographed the same setting at various times throughout the day. I found light to be like a magic paintbrush. Just the right light could make my photographs sing. As I hung my new artwork on the walls of our home, people began to request to have their photos taken and for the past 16 years I have done just that.

I am passionate about photography. I love to capture those magic, tender photos that speak to the heart. When I take someone’s photographs, I am an artist creating a new masterpiece.

 Our family recently moved from Washington State to Illinois. I have loved becoming familiar with the prairie landscape and the magical photographing opportunities available here. I strongly believe that the setting, the angle, and the available light all work together to give an image just the right touch. I coordinate with you on a setting that will reflect your personality, your home’s style, or a feeling you want to convey in your photographs.  

Each session runs about an hour and a half. This time frame accommodates a variety of backgrounds, angles, and poses. It also allows time for those sweet, fun, tender moment images. Following the session, you will have access to an online gallery where you may download your photos. Your gallery will include around 40 images and a print release.
